Packing a Learning Lunchbox Spring 2013! Nutrition is critical to learning, growth and healthy development for EVERYONE.  Did you know that the oxidation level for kids with Down syndrome is triplicated and because of this it is extremely important for them to eat a diet high in antioxidants?  Do you know what some of the top food choices are to help with hypothyroidism and cognition?   It doesn't matter if you are packing a lunch for school, the office or a Saturday picnic - what we feed our loved ones with Down syndrome has a dramatic impact on their ability to learn and perform to the best of their abilities.  One of the most daunting tasks for most families is coming up with healthy meals and snacks - especially when trying to come up with a lunch to pack every day.  This seminar will discuss why what you put in the body of loved ones with Down syndrome is so important and give you some healthy recipes, tips and tools on how to best equip your loved one for maximum performance throughout their day and lifetime.
